People come to visit the beautiful island of Kauai for vacations from all over the world. They come to bask in the sunshine, frolic in the warm ocean waters, view the breathtaking sunsets and also to see the whales. It is the whales and the potential damage the sonar testing can do them that is the reason for a large debate currently being waged on Kauai.

It’s February and “love is in the air” everywhere you go. For many, the sun is just beginning to shine warm enough for a walk outside, but in Kauai the weather is a perfect 77 degrees. Golden lights are reflecting off waters flashing in shades of blue diamonds, and the mountain flowers are in full bloom decorating the hillsides with shades of red, violet, blue and yellow. “Love is in the air” and is in the sea too, as the humpback whale watching season hits full swing.
