The interisland airfare war in Hawaii is heating up. Mesa Air Group’s recent announcement that it would offer $59 round-trip tickets on its interisland startup carrier “go” for weekday flights was quickly matched by Hawaiian and Aloha airlines. (The two largest Hawaiian carriers.)

The Phoenix-based carrier plans to launch go airlines June 9 and says its discounted prices are for travel Monday through Friday between Oahu and the Big Island, Kauai and Maui.

Tickets must be purchased by May 22nd and is applicable for travel from June 9 to Sept. 30.
